14K 3ctw Oval Tanzanite Eternity Band
Tanzanite exists in exactly one place on Earth—a five-square-mile stretch of northern Tanzania, near Kilimanjaro, where tectonic pressure and trace amounts of vanadium created something geologists call a "geological phenomenon." This eternity band holds 13.09 carats of it, fifteen oval stones set in a continuous loop of 14K yellow gold, each stone averaging just under a carat. The violetish-blue shifts depending on angle and light source—more purple under incandescent, more blue in daylight—a property called pleochroism that tanzanite shares with very few other gems.
The setting is shared-prong construction, minimal metal between stones to maximize the violet corridor effect. At 5.91 grams, it has presence without bulk—a ring that reads as serious jewelry from across a room. Wear it as a statement piece or stack it against a plain gold band.
IGI certified the stones in August 2025, noting the following: slightly included clarity (normal for stones this size), heat treatment (standard practice since tanzanite's 1967 discovery), and a blue color that made Tiffany & Co. bet their reputation on this stone fifty years ago.
